Maison Dandoy is a charming pâtisserie that was established in 1829. For over 190 years, this historic institution has served the city with delicious pastries and treats. The pâtisserie is best known for its world-famous speculoos biscuits which are made from a traditional Belgian recipe that consists of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger in addition to other spices. The shop also has a wide selection of other baked goods including croissants, baguettes and Belgian waffles. All of the recipes are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the pastries are prepared daily. Maison Dandoy has a rustic, old-world charm and its deliciously sweet treats will delight the taste buds of any visitor. The Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert location is my favourite branch because of its exquisite decor, which makes you feel as though you’ve walked into Liberty’s London. The pâtisserie is bound to offer something to satisfy your craving, whether you’re looking for a quick snack or something more substantial.
